About Renée Robbers

I’m a researcher, writer, and passionate about blurred boundaries - between science and story, body and world, concept and connection. My work explores how we relate to the world, drawing from lived experience, fieldwork, and philosophical reflection. I believe knowledge is not something we own, but something we participate in.

I am a PhD researcher at Maastricht University working in the field of Planetary Health. My research focuses on epistemic pluralism and relational ways of knowing. I initially framed my work around the question of what we might learn from ecocentric perspectives, but my focus has shifted toward how learning itself takes place in encounters between different forms of knowledge, and what this asks of researchers ethically and methodologically.

On this website, I share fragments from my research journey: fieldnotes, essays, sounds, images, and questions. Some come from academic work, others from moments of silence and chaos. This space is where I try to listen - and invite you to do the same.
